Details: Mount Stromlo Observatory visit (Education Program - 60 mins)
Explore the research buildings and telescope domes at Mt Stromlo Observatory while learning about the science that has occurred here over the past 100 years. Delve into the exciting projects Mt Stromlo are involved in, view labs where instruments for the Giant Magellan Telescope are being built - and see the Laser Space Debris Telescope, a 250kg meteorite, and more! Depending on the length of the visit, you may also participate in hands-on activities in the Visitor Centre.

Discover Questacon at night and take part in a number of fun science activities, including free-falling down a six-metre slide, freeze your own shadow, experience an earthquake or challenge a robot to a game of air hockey.

The PEO role-play gives students hands-on experience of how our Parliament works to make Australia a better place to live (1hr)
On the guided tour students can see; both chambers of Parliament (on non-sitting days), Marble Foyer, Great Hall (subject to availability), Members’ Hall & Highlights of the Parliament House Art Collection (1hr).

This hands-on session will show you how to germinate Australian seeds and examine the different parts of plants under a microscope. Learn about the Australian National Botanic Gardens’ role in conserving threatened plant species.
Details: National Dinosaur Museum guided visit
An interactive insight into Earth’s long and dynamic history with the help of skeletons, skulls, lifelike model dinosaurs, and robotic dinosaurs that move, roar, blink, and breathe. During the guided tour learn about Australia’s prehistory, the biology of dinosaurs, and the science behind what we know about them today.
